Hi Chris, I have a scratch on my car and i want to follow these steps. However, i am scared that once I sand my car, the clear coat will become very thin or almost disappear and it might be bad for my car. Is that okay?? If my clear coat does go away, what should I do after? Thank you so much for your videos

Hey Chris, just discovered your video yesteday and i gotta say your videos are truly awesome and easy to follow. As you've said even if you try to avoid scratches they're bound to happen. A question i wanna do is, by removing the clearcoat as shown in the video, after washing the car will the hazy/blur spot appear again ? Meaning that you'll have to re-do the polish and waxing stages ? Lastly, i've got a scratch (like a dot actually) that probably has removed the car's primer also while creating a small dent. Do you plan to create a guide for these kinds of scratches ? Thanks !

You forgot the deep scratch model :D that would be helpful and really appriciated to show how to do it at home. And by deep I mean when the paint was scratched. For example, I found my door panel chipped to the paint by a shopping basket thrown randomly in the parking lot by a lazy brainless person. Or another example when you get the rooftop scratched by the branches of the tree running low and you pass under them to park.

I saw your other video restoring a cars paint, which you used compound and it seems to restore a lot of the marks and stuff. I have a few scratches but unsure if it’s worth compounding the whole car or not, is their any negatives of doing so? Or would I be better just getting out the main scratches using this method

Dude, thank you so much for this video. I recently had someone put a massive 7x2 inch scratch/scuff on the back of my 98 corvette not even one month after I bought it and I completely removed it just from watching this. I was *PISSED* but I don't think a scratch is ever going to bother me again for the rest of my life because I know how fixable they are now

It’s annoying me because my car is brand new and the dealer says it’s a tri stage paint metallic called soul red crystal metallic. Do you still this these stamps will help me?? I purchased the meguires scratch X but it only helped in making the scratches less visible but their still their and visible when up about 4 feet.

Any polish should do the work. Just dont get a very fine one because it has very minimal cut and it will take a lot longer to get the sanding marks out.

GradedPeanut Prieš mėn
What if you can't tell 100% if it disappears? Because my car is a silver/grayish type color and when I wipe it with my soapy water it fades but I can still see the line but the "white" of it disappears?

When you weren't paying attention and you start at what you think is the first step, so now you have a long scratch on your door. (Jk)

Chris, your great ! Thanks for the scratch removal technique. All your advice really works. Your the best !! I was at a gas station on a windy day and as I got out of my 2015 Toyota Sequioa the wind caught my door and banged it against a gas station pump handle. Therefore this will be my weekend repair. Could you please advise me on a the matter of replacing my halogens headlights entire assembly with the more modern looking LED's without negatively affecting the ( OEM ) factory electrical systems. Or is there a simpler LED bulb only recommendation you would recommend ? Thanks.

Damn, I have watched many of your awesome video's, this one is as impressive but bringing a dead car no could start back to life with minimal spending, CLASSIC! I have a 2016 Kia Soul with two deep 6 to 8 inch hood scratches the dealership had retouched with paint and did a lousy job. Repainting the hood would cost me $250.00 at a car repair body shop so I'm gonna tackle this job myself. Thanks brother for all your great easy to follow instructional video's.
